Interior Decorating :: Lehigh Valley’s STYLE OF CHOICE

At this year’s Spring Home Show at Stabler [April 9-11, 2010], consumers visiting the DREAMS Inspiration Tour were provided with an opportunity to vote on their preferred decorating Style of Choice. Votes were cast via text messaging and an on-site web link for traditional, modern, or a mix of traditional & modern.

Bubble Wrap Wallpaper?

2010 celebrates the 50th anniversary of the initial discovery of what was to be a new textured wall paper (oh the 60′s) . Textured, plastic, and probably clear back then, it become a never realized complement to shag carpeting, lava lamps, and avocado appliances. This is our view of how it may have looked.

Poll :: Which way do you face in the shower?

During a weekend discussion involving food, friends, and how to best light a shower stall, it came to light that there are distinct preferences as to the direction one faces in a shower in relation to the flow of water. So, to add to our entertainment and get a wider perspective, we’d thought we’d share this and ask for your preference. Cast your vote by gender and let’s see how this plays out. At the least it provides for entertaining conversation.

UPDATE: We’ve decided that it must have been just the initial group that had strong opinions on which direction they faced, as the polling revealed it’s much more even. [Though still trending toward our original consensus of males front and females back] So, we’ve closed the poll, but you’re still welcome to see how most voted and where you fit it. The topic still provides for some fun group conversations. If you have a strong opinion, leave a comment.
